Before any other sense could tell
I smelt your scent,
Its lingering taste rotting my tongue
And burning my flesh
With it I feel a pain so sharp
That creeps beneath my skin
Crawling towards your poison
What you call love.
Lying because you can
Knowing I will never run away
Do you feel powerful?
Knowing you are my drug
I am a fool
In love with your soulless self
My body twists in agony
My heart brakes in sorrow
Self preservation has long gone
Death seems a pleasant escape
I take your cup filled with hate
I drink. I die at last.

Some people like the feeling of control they have over others. Those dependant on drugs may not necessarily start out as victims........but will always become them.
Nice write
