After the Love has gone...........

Contributed by Malcolmsdreamgirl on Tuesday, 5th June 2007 @ 07:23:54 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

He remembers when his phone would ring...
His heart miss a beat, sometimes would sing...
A call from his love, was all he'd need....
This heart of his.... her love would feed.

He remembers when so proud and tall
He'd hold her hand and show to all
The love he'd found forever more
Of her love and devotion... he could be sure

So what happened then? That things did change?
That love turned to hate, a hate so strange...
Once, when they touched, the sparks would fly....
Now IF they touched there was no high

Once she was always right, in whatever said
Now he felt so different and would carefully tread
Once when he looked into her eyes so bright.....
His heart would skip full of sheer delight

Now he looked into an empty soul
both hearts aching - empty hole
Craving for what once, had been there for both
A love so strong they would betroth

After the love, has long long gone
Things that felt so right, now felt so wrong
A sentance life long they would tread
That need and craving left unfed

Then when the Love turns deep to hate
Both once in love..... retaliate
Til one day its all too much to bare
And both will part without a care

So sad the number of relationships that simply seem to fade away. It takes a lot of work, and its not always easy.
You have wonderfully conveyed the depth of emotions and confusion that occur as a relationsip breaks down.
Very sad reading, but honest nonetheless.

Take care,
Dom
