Save my life
Tell me you love me
Give me a reason to be
I have messed up
Left to myself I will only falter

Save my life
Tell me you want me
Give me a reason to breathe
I cannot continue alone
Without you I become meaningless

Save my life
Tell me you need me
Give me a reason to live
Without purpose I am useless
Without your love I am nothing

Save my life
But all I hear is silence
No sweet words whispered in my ear
For you have no reasons to give

Save My Life!
But alas, the only one who can save me…
Is me

The last stanza says it precisely! If you lean on others so much to the point where your life and the meaning of it becomes dependent solely on them, you might be in trouble. People can disappoint, but you will always have yourself, at least.
