Are you the dreams of midnight
dark, pale and bright
the sweet fallen breath that rides the wind
the phantom that beacons in the night
the fallen hopes as a ascend
into the dreams of my own vanity
Is this the pale hand of love
the goddess I worship, the ideal I praise
are these her fiery eyes arisen
the ones of dreams that leaves me dazed
Is this the hope I have long forbidden
the demon I have long kept at bay
To know you smirk O forgotten myth
Ye banshie of the emerald shore
Is the feel the claws of a faith thrown down
A fruitless banner I shall hold no more
Though the sky may crack and moon shall frown
The call of night shall I hear no more

Positively beautifully written. The imagery woven delicately within speaks volumes. |

This poem touched me because I have experienced very similar feelings.
Nicely written,
Take care,
