One Rainy Night

Contributed by FRANCO on Sunday, 3rd June 2007 @ 01:56:45 PM in AEST
Topic: secrets

A long slashing rainy night, my lone wretched heart
drummed aimlessly, as my eyes gazed at the murky
horizon, filled with empty thoughts, searching
seriously for nothing - yet searching.

I heard a clatter and a feeble weeping
from the door; alas! “A visitor?” queried
my mind within, dragging my slothful legs to open
the door; amazed to see her standing before.

Drenched to her tender bones - stared at me
with those dreamy pair of eyes;
articulating volumes within my
purposeless mind and heart.

Timorously walked into my wet chalet,
yet her eyes fixed gently on me,
perhaps probing to read my thoughts.
I offered all that I had to slake her hunger.

She In return stood gazing lovingly
wagging her tiny tail; like a lost puppy that she was.
-FRANCO-

Oh Franco! You bad boy you! lol

You are so good at these writes! What a wonderful story
this was too. Tender and beautifully sweet.

Excellent, my friend. A pure tale, (tail?lol) of innocence.
Just lovely!

You are certainly getting us going on these last line identification pieces...I fell for it again. Trully adorable with its completed definition. I love this style you've been presenting.

This counts as a 2fer...two for one, that is... Because, I enjoyed this so much I shared it w/ a girlfriend, an animal lovin' individual if ever there was one & you melted her heart...although, I'd have to say the surprise ending counts for a good part of my own enjoyment!!!
