Colors have changed from neon bright
to faded shades of gloom
Lights were once lit
like sunshine... in this very room
Times were to be cherished
and always so very sweet
My happiness took a few blows
Yes, I feel a little beat
Surprises they do come
Some not so grand
Don't get to comfortable, my friend
We all live on foreign land
Tainted by so much life
it is amazing how we survive
Keep waking every day
and breathe and stay alive
Strength can be so hard to muster
Yes, sometimes it is hard to stand tall
I feel at this time I must stand firm
and keep tearing down your walls

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr -- I just had a comment all ready for you,
sis, and this dumb computer lost it on me!!!
I love the picture you placed with this piece, hun. It really speaks volumes
to how people build these fortresses around themselves and how those
who love them, through patience and perseverence, need to find
the way to break through all barriers to reach them. I, as I'm sure MANY, relate
to this so well. This is such a personal write, but one that I believe actually
reaches out and touches your readers' hearts with enomrous emotion.
Keep searching for that inner strength, sis. You will amaze yourself, as
you always amaze me. Wonderful piece here. Just beautifully written!!
peace and love,
~MB |

To muster the inner-power some time looks like a Herculean task but ....
"I feel at this time I must stand firm
and keep tearing down your walls"
and this positive thinking what keeps one stand firm and tall.
One wonderful write.

I love this piece as I have mustered the building of some pretty solid walls in my lifetime. Very well done. |
