Hold on me

Contributed by saralind21 on Friday, 1st June 2007 @ 08:39:59 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I have emotions that bleed red and
drip with each lie
You strangle me inside like a vine and
I can't break free
of your hold on me

I have the heart of glass
Only broken pieces left to hold
When I don't give you enough
You just let me go

I can't give you more when I feel empty inside
I can't be beautiful when you don't know my soul
I'm not just a face lost in the mix
Look deeper, you'll see why I cry

No words to describe this emotion
It is blind
mysterious
I feel I've been drugged with love potion #9

I'm in a daze
you keep me crazed
With your bipolar haze
And your funny ways
I know how you play...
stop all the games
I can't take it one more day
Just be real,
tell me how you feel
because I really can't deal with
your laugh track
or the way you touch my back
can't deal with the knots in my head
or the feeling you give me in bed
when I know that feeling will soon
Go away

So go away
or love me completely
I'll give you the key
to my heart
If you'll let me
