Just a dream

Seems rather unpredictable these words,
Yet also seems so true.
Our friendship fading into darkness,
And im falling in love with you.

I wish these dreams were certain,
I wish that they were real.
Yet figments left only in my imagination,
And butterflys in my stomache to feel.

I dreamed you were a writer,
You wrote songs only for me.
I dreamed you were an artist,
My eyes only, were to see.

I dreamed of us together,
In a world so far away.
I awoke the next morning,
No longer with me, would you stay.

I loved the way you're in my dreams,
The tears when you do cry.
I hate the way its all a dream,
My soul does wish to fly.

I dreamed that you were injured,
In heaven you were to stay.
They allowed us both into their world...
For just another day.

Times that we spent in heaven,
So happy we did seem.
Once again, i awoke in tears,
To realise this was just a dream.

This is such a beautiful poem ... sad, but very well written ... Jan
