Did I ever tell you?

You may not have been able to be as open about how you feel, but neither have I.
I've never told you how i felt about you, not once.
i never told you how the look in your eyes when you
look at me as we're passing each other makes me smile an uncontrollable smile,
the only kind you get from love, no other thing can make you
smile as big and as truthful as that.
the way you said punk to me about a week ago,
did i ever tell you how that made my day?
how i couldnt stop smiling, and laughing, and calling people punk,
hoping i'd have as much impact on them as you did on me-
but never did, did i tell you that?
did i tell you that the only time i really remember looking up at the stars
and feeling alive was with you, and how i still remember the way you felt
when we were up against eachother embraced by a hug?
did i ever tell you how your smile makes me smile, or the way you held
my hand still lingers in my heart? Did i ever tell you that when you say
i love you, when you say it, i can tell you mean it.
You save that look for me, the one i get in the hallways, did i tell you that?
I know you save that look. Did i ever tell you that i care when you
don't see me at lunch, or that i care when you don't answer your phone?
Did i ever tell you that my love for you is true, and I, with all my heart, regret the time that i broke up with you?
Did I ever tell you that the day i went over your house
and swam in the pool with you,
did i ever tell you that was out of pure missing you,
missing you is what i do all the time.
did i ever tell you how good it felt to kiss you again,
and did i ever tell you how good it felt to have your arms around me in that pool?
Did i truly ever tell you how much I care?
Did I really ever tell you how much I wish you were still here, with me?
You’re all I live for, and all I hope for each and everyday.
