Regularly Used Out of Context

I've lost you.
At least I thought
In this endless world of love verses hate.
Where music is vulgar and repetitive
And originality is a word regularly used out of context.
I've lost you.
I think.
This endless game of hide and seek.
Please come out before the sky swallows the sun,
Before the dark influences the street lights to flicker off and on.
I'm scared I’ll never find you again.

This is short, freestyle, and has an allure to it. The language and diction are low, straightforward, and presented with a sense of nonchalant recklessness that matches the formatting.
I like the 2/4 stanza consistency of content and I particularly like the idea behind the fourth stanza with the dark influencing the lights. It's an interesting image that captures the oppressiveness of the situation in whole.

This poem is wonderful in that it is subtle and meek, almost, yet it is also very powerful and emotional.
"And originality is a word regularly used out of context.:
- I quite agree, although not with regards to this poem!
