Seeing you in so much pain,
Broke my heart.
Scared me so much,
As I tried to save you from the dark.
I want to hold you,
And kiss you.
Comfort and help heal your wounds.
You are my light,
You are my smile,
My heart,
And believe me I'd run for more than a mile.
And seeing you with the tears in your eyes,
Was a living nightmare.
I still tremble at the thought.
The pain in your eyes,
the flames that writhe,
All so haunting,
and revealing.
I love you so much.
And I want to lift you up,
So high you won't hurt anymore.

You've burned down my walls.
You've done the impossible,
and your patience has blessed me.
As have your eyes.
I'm trying to be patient too.
So just..
Let me catch you,
And I'll embrace you.
Nothing will break through.
