I bow to the porcelain goddess
Her round, plump figure encases me in dreadful happiness
I feel nothing but emptiness
She drains the sorrows
Takes them unto herself
Cleansing my body of evil
Down it swivels, to its underground cage
Where it can be killed
Reborn and bought back to me in it’s better
Honest, beautiful form

A short, sweet, and deeply romantic proclamation and true work of art. I think that the goddess / love metaphor is one over-used and all too cliche, but you have broken that generalization with your wonderful words. This was crafted to kill a cliche. A brilliant job!
BRAVO!

this is wonderfully good. sad, too. i have felt and have seen this desire to be and remain empty in friends and, at times, myself. despite it's pain, the struggle (with anything, really) does churn out some great poetry. sorry i have nothing more encouraging to say, i really like your words. |
