Mother, Cradle me now here in this void
It’s so dark in this place, it’s so lonely
It creeps in silently like the fog and smothers me
Mother, no longer do I see the beauty of this life
Sedated by such beauty docile and calming
My head swims in injected dreams
The colours they make me euphoric, my light grows brighter
Oh how beautiful they are
But reaching out to grasp hold
The illusion dissipates and crumbles like dust in my hands
Once more I am wrapped in the cold chill of nothing
Infecting me, seducing me, pulling me under
As my light flickers out and I silently sink
Mother, will I sleep now? Always?
