In a land far, far away,
Where the waters stand in frozen beauty,
And the cold wind howls all days,
Past the arid deserts of the south,
The vast, empty plains in the center,
And the lush, green forests of the north,
In the long, lost land of solid ice,
Sleeps a crystal Dragon.
Like an enchanted princess doth he lie,
In his glistening blanket of virgin snow.
A lost ray from the moonlit sky doth he enshrine,
Creeping through a crack in his icy roof,
Bouncing off his scales that doth glimmer so,
Myriad colors of the rainbow light up his frozen cave.
All wrapped in this mighty, leathery wings,
His powerful chest doth slowly rise and fall,
Each fiery breath that he doth take,
Melting a diamond icicle before him.
Creature of love and hate,
Life and death live within him,
Heart of ice, soul of fire,
The ancient Lord awaits his time.
