We ought to get you a new car
Shiny new car
With bright new headlights
And a new way of life
You ought to take that new car out
Newly driven
And new searchlights
Bring a new way of strife
We ought to find that new car
Newly given
With new low lights
And a newlywed wife
You ought to have shown her that car
Shiny blue car
With white-bright no lights
And an empty passengers seat

I like the poem. I find it a little humorous at the end. |
