Do I have a chance?
O Allah, are You really the Most Gracious, one things for sure, Your earth’s really spacious
Is Your heaven promised to those who suffer for Your pleasure, I seem too lost, for me it doesn’t measure
Are you the King of Kings, who sits on the throne of perfection, then give me Your shield from my internal infections
Interrogate me and incinerate me, but will that wipe out my sins, from all the wicked places iv’e been
To find internal tranquility, Many times I searched for solutions, when all I had to do is perform ablution
To pray to the One who is worthy of all praise, never deeply considered that life is only a bent maze
I heard O Allah You are the Most Kareem, yet Your generosity I doubt, as weird as it seems
Oppress me and detest me when I fall short, to save me from hell, I’d rather end up in court
And face life in prison, for not revising my cruel perceptions, my insidious actions and repulsive deceptions
Inspect me and condemn me, but don’t evade my cries of remorse, before I sink 6 feet under, which gets much worse
Do I have a chance, or should I stay pessimistic and shed, shed tears of drama from what lies ahead
Ya Mujeeb, I want to gain Your support so what should I do, without Your help, my life is through
Will I succeed by ignoring Your rules and prohibitions, not knowing we were meant to praise You in submission
Do I have a chance to make a change for the good, to apologize to people who I misunderstood?
Confused and abused was due to my arrogant desires, I’m tired of being known as a liar
My mouth is hard to control, what can I do to abstain, from shouting dirty words to people in disdain
Do I have a chance to see Your exalted Face of Glory, if that would be the case, My life would be the greatest story
You are the One who determines who stays guided, yet when I thought I possessed it, I was misguided
Corruption is a trail that leads you astray, it’s a penalty from Allah for Your sins you must pay
Short cuts in life is an allusion of seclusion, it gets you trapped in a bigger struggle that you will end up losing’
Never neglect your trusts with Your Lord, for the Blazing fire of hell is worse than being stabbed with a sword
O God, can you hear me now, from this day forward I promise to bow,
To the One who is worthy of all praise, who sent us this world in mysterious ways
When I’m lost, You direct me, when I’m hungry, You fed me, when I’m angry, you relieve me, from the troubles that deceive me,
Never once did you oppress me, but you gave me hardship to test me, it was I who fell backwards due to my emotions, when I read Your Book, I get the right notion
Here I come to your kingdom, wanting to thank you for Your favors, which helped me every time I wavered
O Allah-You are the Most High. Yet we don’t fear Him-you know why
We say we love Him, but our actions have fallen short, that’s why we failed many times, ending up in court,
He is called the Most Kareem, and the source of peace, but we love to ignore Him in exchange for our caprice
Wisdom is the lost key of the believer, if he holds on to it; he will be an achiever,
There are lessons to be learned, so hold on tightly, dream your tasks before you start to feel lightly,
The road to heaven is like a ladder that’s broken, you must struggle hard to fix it, so don’t be joking
Stay true with the true and praise Allah very often, for one day you’ll end up in a coffin.
