I put on my game face,
Your smiles I will not embrace,
The life that is yours no longer will I grace,
For life that is mine moves with inconsistent pace,
Indeed life that is ours is a rat race,
Our dreams we both have to chase,
Our pasts we cannot erase,
For future joy, the present in-order we have to place,
Potential companionship we insanely craze,
But the truth of reality we still have to face,
For in our hearts there still lies an empty space,
Therefore we both agree with sighs to say,
Goodbye.
