Hold my hand and tell me that we are okay.
Speak of the natural things that people say.
For if darkness comes to soon,
at the falling of the moon.
Then my restless heart must fly from earth today.

Share earth delights of skys and trees.
Waterways and mountains, whispy breeze.
Leave emotions misted on the earth.
Your have roots of gold, now show your worth.
Let my restless heart fly with the earth.

If every moonlight night reflects the sky,
Show the stars, the soul of you and I.
Take the milky way and fly my path.
Let this be my epitaph.
Then let my restless heart be of this earth.

I could get lost in that picture and the write as well. Beautiful piece of poetry. (the pic reminds me of artwork I've seen on Leaning Tree cards...they're fabulous) Thank you so much for sharing.
Peace, Laura

aside from the obvious beauty of both poem and picture, the deeper underlying expression is what i love, the acceptance of your place in life and acceptance of possible demise, put so softly, with preference of life:)

This is a really good poem and a really beautiful picture. I guess that it makes sense that we choose of paths in one way or another. Absolutely Brilliant!
