Her eyes blue lakes,
Of liquid time,
A second becomes a year,
A glance, a moment,
All it takes,
Life is drawing near.
The green of spring,
In one quick turn,
The hazel of sadness shows,
Here, the difference
A second makes,
They freeze so cold they burn,

I'm with Michelle on this one. Bravo. Very well done. It was short and crisp...very much so, to the point. I love how you described the eye changes as with seasons and time. A pleasure to read your words. Your ending line...fabulous: "They freeze so cold they burn"
Peace, Laura |
