Star of Gold

Contributed by michaeljordan1635 on Wednesday, 23rd May 2007 @ 09:18:33 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

As I pondered at the clear night sky
a shooting star came whizzing by
a start so beautiful, with so much grace
it brought back memories of an unrivaled face
A face that was lost in space and time
a face that was elegant, perfect and fine
Just like the star this face was dying
wrapped up so perfect and peacefully lying
i loved it so much my heart did tear
that last time I saw her gorgeous hair
how could heaven ever dare
to take a face so perfect and fair
and now like that star it is gone out of sight
the face had stop living, gave up the fight
and as I once more pick up my basket
I once more see the covered casket....

So sorry for your loss. You wrote a beautiful poem here and when you look to the stars know they are looking down to you smiling.
