Faceless Man

Contributed by exiled on Tuesday, 22nd May 2007 @ 10:05:26 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

He points the gun at me and begins to laugh
Thinking they have won,
All the thoughts of shattered dreams,
The painful memories, scars forever to last.
It all seems to fade away, as they begin to laugh.
Moonlit skies fill the concrete jungle,
Illuminating their twisted faces
As I am dragged past,
They begin to tear, rip, and bite
Enjoying all the pain they seem to bring.
Enter the dim lit hallway.
My feet dragging the hardwood floor.
The pain is be-numbing,
Like the falling waters of Babylon, blood flows down my face
The wind stings my open wounds,
Darkness sorrounds as I see the man with no face.
Matted hair, shiny shoes, and a sinister grin
Are all I have to embrace.
He looks upon me and laughs thinking he has won.
But, he soon realizes the battle has just begun.
Shake off the pain and blood
As I stand, arms wide open, and take a bow.
My name is love, and never again shall you hurt this man.
The twisted faces scream in pain as I grab him by the throat,
Michael has casted you from the warmth,
You faceless man of disgust,
Now shall you ever be forbidden, nothing but dust.
They all twist in pain as I slam him to the ground.
You no longer have hold over me,
No longer shall you destroy my hopes and dreams.
My life is yours no more,
You shall not look at the light to my face.
And as the smoke rises,
The battle comes to an end.
The faceless mans cries never to be heard again.
