A Beautiful Dream
My head hits the pillow and I drift off to sleep
Suddenly the clouds part and I'm standing on a beach
You, the love of my life are beside me
It's dark out with only the moon and stars as our light
I hear the slap of the waves and feel the warm sand beneath my bare feet
You take my hand and we walk along the beach
No one is around but you and I
There is a blanket on the sand
We lie down and you take my hand
I turn to look at you
I see your handsome face in the pale moonlight
at this magical place
Your eyes are such a bright shade of blue
in this moonlight
You wrap your arms around me
and we cuddle together under the stars and moon
I drift off to sleep and awake from this beautiful dream
with a smile on my face
and I'm safe in my room.
