Each railing holds a story
More than just your weight
The railing holds fears, wishes, thoughts and dreams
We use it to lean on
Just in case...
A silent resovoir of training wheels
A different one for each person
Living in a house
If we took the railing away
How would we get down the stairs?

I like this poem! If only the railing could talk...oh the things I'm sure it has seen. :) |

Interesting metaphore! Very subtle. I love it. I love how it touches upon the frailties, insecurities, and vulnerability that each of us often feels, yet is afraid to admit or disclose them. I like how it accepts these frailties, not as limitiations, but as just a necessary aspect of life.
Be True,
