Sister, they won’t let you in
Sister, they know you have sinned
So come to my door there’s no need to ring the doorbell
You’re welcome to let yourself in

Brush off the ash
Water is the transient here
The embers still burn from the past
Their doors are always closed, Sister
Their doors are always closed, Sister
They think we’re ashes by now…
Sister…
Ashes by now

You’ve immerged from there shaken and marred
You can’t turn back now you’ve crawled this far
The stain will show on the white snow of your conscience
Quicker than skin will show the scar
