if i could be.

Topic: selfstruggles

If I was the moon I shine at night
So everyone one had a chance to keep up in life
To gain a upper hand in this battle of agonizing thoughts
So they wouldn’t have to struggle to put up with this hell

If I was the sun I would shine on the peoples faces
So the warmth of my heart would be enough
To touch them in heart felt places
So they would be complete
And I would always be a figment of there imaginations

If I was the air we breath I would always stay fresh
Never be polluted, providing for the people I love
And giving everyone a need for survival
In a world of war like neglect

If I was the ocean I would give the world all my secrets
Make the people knowledgeable about the treasures I hold
And show all I haven’t told
I would let them search me as I was a book they could read
Discussing my riches of what love really means

If I was a shooting star I would make everyone’s wishes come true
To give them something they could always hold on to
I would wish upon myself, so my life would be mine
And not belong to a system of lies
I would find a reason to belong with equals
Not politics of misinformed regales

If I was life I would try to stay beautiful
Not let the sorrow felt people end with slashed torn wrist
I would aim my reaches to fill all the depressed people
Because I would want happiness for my fellow soul seekers

If I was the essence of happiness I would approach every man women and child
Show them that they are wanted and prayed upon
Let them know that in this life there is still people with compassion
And still people who would die to save there lives to promote a greater cause

If I was a child again, I would seek to gain whatever knowledge I could hold
So I could inform the world that we are people of a universe
We hold more potential than we’re made to know
We have the power to be great to show others the meanings of the world

If I was you I would listen with open ears
Distinguish what I thought was right and wrong
And showed myself that I was more than just a man
That I was a organism living in a habitat filled with the potential of some much energy

If I was anything, what would I be?
If I was something, how would I be?
If I was more than just myself how would it change me?
If I was much more thoughtful
Sorrow and hate would be ending

Why is it I have potentials place upon me?
Why is it I have neglected to be a part of this
Trust factors to subdue it in to black pools of confusion
Lifeless thoughts to corrode my movement

I guess it’s the stuff we wish we were
So we put sense to the world around us
And we place our passions to the skies and hope to help
Hope to put a dent in the life’s of our people

If I could be anything
Something that could help
Something far better than humanity
I would hope to be a better version of me

I liked your poem, I think it's a very thoughtful piece. I liked how you put yourself into Nature.

I believe you have done a great job already in being a better version of "you"... this poem proves it...
Great sentiments..
Jenni
