Redemption

Searching for redemption,
for my tortured soul.
To once again be at peace,
and live without fear.

I want forgiveness,
for the things ive done.
For people to forget my misgivings,
and talk of them to cease.

But redemption I have not found,
my pain is only growing.
I want things to be normal again.
Searching for peace I am,
but none is forthcoming
