Somehow I sense I’m already way over my head, but forward in my direction I continue to go!
The drug and it’s resulting high I tell myself I can handle, but clearly my confidence is questionable if not at least on unstable ground.
Like the moth helplessly drawn to the light above, the warmth gained from this casual interaction is proving beyond my ability to maintain a safe and secure distance.
Hamlet’s warning to Ophelia “the undiscovered country from who’s bourn no traveler returns, puzzle the will and makes us rather bare those ills will have than to fly to other we know not of.” Yet she intrigues me with the faint glimpse of her shores. Drawing me closer with her sweeping gentle currents and always refreshing me with her warm embracing breeze! This undiscovered country I yearn to learn more.
Not too far along that I couldn’t still turn back. I however like Ulysses must know the sound of the sirens. Tie me then to the mast and continue this journey. This path may never avail itself to me ever again, I will not this time allow regret its chance to gain a foot hold, in this still unknown resulting destination by allowing it to question what remains uncertain. So here’s to lasting impressions and potential smiles, I coming on ahead. Me the hopeless romantic armed only with the words of emotions in my mind and my heart!
