my chimerical imprisonment

Contributed by brittanycollette on Monday, 14th May 2007 @ 12:39:02 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

i saw myself with you.
you have the heart- shaped box
that holds my happiness.
ive dreamt of things like this. perfect days spent falling.
pushed down by every hope and every dream.
the fear of one day finding it was nothing.
i see this life with you.
and now im scared to see.
a bittersweet exchange,
this broken promise for my only gift.
i am in love with you.
and in return a simple sweet embrace.
that left me standing still with this optative stare.
if youre asking me to prove it all to you
or waiting for unquestionable truth.
then my entire life
will be spent giving this to you
my visceral adventure.
you know i will come through.
because no matter what
ill always love you.

Any one who dosen't comment on this can't possibly be human, i hoverd around it and decided to read it, my god talk about straight foward, and powerful, this is the first i've read of you work it won't be the last. You are simply a magnificent writter nice style and what impact this poem has frankly the writting itself transends the poetry. A great peice of writting with a lot of depth.

Ben
