Would You Even Notice?

anguished

If I decided tonight was the night
All the pain would leave,
No more tears would fall from my eyes
And
It was the night my last breath would be taken,
Would you feel bad?
For everything you did to me
For every sarcastic remark you made
For never caring enough?
If tonight was that night,
And Tuesday was my funeral
Would you come and cry for me?
‘Cause as I sit here typing this out,
tears blurring my vision,
I can’t help but think
You would only come because you’re my sister
And mom and dad forced you.
You were never there for me
Even when I was there for you.
I hope you find this,
So you know how much you really hurt me.
And the pitiful thing is,
I couldn’t even try and tell you the truth
Because you’d be laughing too hard.
So when everyone tells me we’re sisters and sisters argue all the time
I want you to know that your sarcasm cut through me more than any blade ever did
And if that’s what sisters are supposed to do,
I might as well make you an only child.
