Coffee before work

I'll sip it slowly from the edge of my cup,
Three spoons of coffee should wake me up,
Can't be late for work this moring,
The boss has issued my final warning,
Getting up is such a drag,
Piling files into my bag,
Searching for a missing sock,
Eyes as heavy as a cinder block,
Five till nine every day,
Without a decent rate of pay,
The weekend only makes it worse,
I'll spend my money and sell the purse,
To drown the sorrows from my head
Then grab an asprin and go to bed,
This week will all be just the same,
I hate my job and I'm to blame,
I should have done my work in school,
But i clowned around and played the fool,
I'll sip it slowly every day, and work the job i never wanted,
It's all my fault in every way, by my mistake i'm forever haunted...

Wow, and yowsa!!! Oh, gosh what a horrible relation I am feeling to
this piece, zenith! I just got out of a situation that saturated me with
painfully negative emotion this poem has reminded me of.
wonderfully emotive, my friend. You said this was old ... hopefully
you have moved past that circumstance. :)
Exceptionally written. I ADORE the last two lines .. they are almost
a summation of the piece itself.
(on the other hand ... strong coffee is quite welcome in my world! lol)

I agree with Rox here, reminds me of something to. Is never to late to pick up the books though I am taking more classes as we speak:) and the coffee I would be late if I were making a coffee stop ROFLMAO
