The Night Before

" The Night Before "

She wakes up in the morning
reflecting on last night
feeling what he did to her
fills her mind with fright
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Her face and upper body bruised
with her clothes all torn
she has an empty feeling now
her life has been re-born
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She bleeds and hurts all over
on this bedroom floor
his place is hidden high above
the local corner store
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She sees some faded images
from The Night Before
he took her precious innocence
just like she was a whore
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The bruising on her chest and face
clearly show it all
they show the markings of the night
when she lost it all
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She keenly smells the scent of him
from her toes up to her head
cheap cologne and cigarettes
she is wishing she was dead
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Full of pain her body hurts
she slowly trys to stand
this poor young girl is so confused
she does not understand
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She collects her things and moves away
from his evil bed
the visions of him doing her
fills her hurting head
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She slowly moves up to the door
to finally leave the room
he walks inside the open door
she once again feels doomed
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
He hits and slaps her all around
and then he throws her down
she re-lives all The Night Before
she can not scream a sound
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She cries in pain and hurts so bad
as she lives this horror
the visions that she sees again
are memories forever stored
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Thirty minutes of living hell
he leaves her once again
broken, dazed, and paralyzed
will this ever end?
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She bows and prays its over
she picks up all her things
covering her bruised body
she hears the church bells ring
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
One more time she reaches
to open up the door
praying its all over
hoping to see him no more
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
She clears the door to take off
she quickly runs away
finally free and running
to end this awful day
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Scarred for life that night and day
he took her innocence away
she lives with this forever now
each and every day!!!!!

Chilling to read, it makes me shudder to think that people experience this.
You captured the horror and fear very well and the reader feels a great empathy with the girl even though we don't know anything else about her.
Skilful handling of an unpleasant topic,

Dom

A painful read. I hope many read and comment and learn from it. I hope it makes people realise this does happen and maybe there is more we could do to prevent it?

Left shivers down my spine that's for sure...

Another piece of art from you

Dee xx
