Rain
By MVJ SIMON
Stinging your face
Harsh rebukes
Thunder roll
Flashes of pain
Dark and furious
Waters of rain
Fading slowly
Anger receding
Soft and gentle
A caressing touch
Earth renewed
A fragrance spread
Showers of love
Moods natural
Wondrous chameleons
Nature’s ways
Loving and harsh
Bitter-sweet

beautiful peom and so true. Without struggle there is no progress. Life is full of tests. But if you have any faith in God, you will know that after the rain comes sunshine and piece. This poem clearly illustrates the calmness after a storm. |

Hi! I have to say, I've been witness to this kind of metaphor before,
but you mixed something exquisitely unique in here and it blends
so very well. I adore the usage of rain, first as destructive and then
as a gentle and soothing substance to wash away our ache and
breathe a newness into our souls.
Beautiful work.
