Jess I can’t stop thinking of you.
You’re one of my few memories that isn’t dead.
But you are lost,
In your heroin, and coke…
And it makes me so sad.
In the last five years,
I’ve lost eleven loved ones to drugs.
Five are lost in cocaine.
One in crack,
And two in heroin.
There were 12 of us.
But I’m the only one that came back.
I carry sorrow knowing where you all are.
I carry guilt for being the only one that’s come so far,
But worst of all,
I carry a broken heart.

This poem reflects such emotion and sadness. I do understand have lost friends to drug addictions also.
You must never carry guilt for having changed your life, cherish the better moments of memories of your friendships and mend your heart.
Hugs

I'm sorry for all of your loved ones who have died from drugs. This is a great poem. I give it a 4 out of 5. |
