Rain

selfstruggles

It rained again.Thousands upon Thousands
Of water droplets falling free
Down through the heavy clouds,
Only to bounce back off the ground.
Time here moves so slowly
It almost falls back on itself.
Each Moment, and each Second
Seem to last a decade.
Frozen, a rain drop hangs
Suspended above the muddy floor
And is doubled in a makeshift mirror
Before disturbing the still of the puddle.
Eyes shut Arms spread,
Face turned towards the sky,
I begin to laugh at how absurd
My mind has come to be.

hmmm, very thought-prevoking! I like it! Rain is my all-time favourite sound, very pretty poem. Reminds me of a time when nothing else seemed to matter but my smile, as i walked the streets at night bathing in the refreshing and inspirering rain! Thanks for the reminder, Jack! |
