After the War

Contributed by Crow on Monday, 7th May 2007 @ 04:23:40 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

He says..I don`t often talk about this,
how the days treat me now.
Yes my friend, they are gentle,
I see beauty, days rush"

You ask me of love..
sometimes remembering is not enough,
feelings dance in the light, over-heard
conversations, stars in the eyes of couples.

I laugh a-little-bit, and will always remember,
live out the day`s minutes,
go on...and try to give back...

She says.....You see the beauty in everything.
Starting each day with the good- side….
Touching the winds soft whisper
knowing the stars always shine.

I often find myself reaching at night….
Wanting to grab a single star from the sky.
Spreading the stardust in my hair.
Knowing in time this too shall pass.

I laugh a little….. cry a little too.
Thinking all the while of wildflowers in fields.
Little girl dreaming at times I guess,
want to go run through puddles with the rain falling down?

The world sees parting
Sun brings faith
Moons witness both praying
nights close in" ... Shelby / Vincent

You two are so good writing together. Two excellent poets merging as one. Excellent write, so much feeling of the naturalness of just Life. Thanks you two.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

You two talented individuals have combined to form a wonderful poetic partnership, this poem was a pleasure to read and linger over.
I particularly liked this stanza,
"I laugh a little….. cry a little too.
Thinking all the while of wildflowers in fields.
Little girl dreaming at times I guess,
want to go run through puddles with the rain falling down?"
because it reminds me of myself.

Uplifting and peaceful, I ejoyed reading,

Dom

Well, WOW! There is a soft gentleness to this, but the
words somehow seemed laced with sorrow. A sorrow for
something gone perhaps. After the war .. yes, when
emotion and passion has calmed and reflection sets in.

Beautiful write you two. You guys mesh so well together.

~Breezy
