Don't you ever feel alone?
Surrounded by so many,
And yet,
No one knows your name.
I walk one of the busiest streets,
Thinking someone will know me.
Plenty stare as I walk past,
Not a whisper of my name.
Is it possible to feel like it's raining inside?
Water pouring over your heart.
Flooding your entire body until,
It drowns your soul.
My body was once waterproof,
All the rain just rushed right off.
Then something happened to my skin,
I lost the toughness of my soul.
Now I'm swimming,
My head just above the water.
Don't you ever feel alone,
Drowning from the inside out.
