Blind Death
The evening light had faded from the sky,
The golden sun has fallen,
Only darkness now can fill my eye,
Death…I hear it callin',
There ghostly whispers echo in my mind,
The place where all the people sleep and die,
Listen to my words and you will find,
My blindness contradicted by the vivid inner eye,
I see in colour not known to many men,
And though the inner hue can comfort me,
I long to see the golden sun again,
My instinct tells me soon that wish will be,
In death I can be free….
