Days once so full of light
Darken with clouds of reason unknown.
What happened to all the happiness?
I thought the seeds were deeply sown.
I thought I woke up for the first time,
Just to realize it was the other way around.
All this time I’ve desired silence,
But now I miss their sound.
I was thankful for the ground under my feet,
Just to realize the sand slipping off my hand.
Suddenly the world is flipped,
There is no safe place to land.
All once accomplished is now erased,
Battle lines signal confusion’s retreat.
I thought I finally grasped the good life,
Only to realize I embraced conceit.

All once accomplished is now erased . . . this line alone would get you more than a 5star vote, more like a standing ovation. A most magnificent poem you have pened, and unfortunately an abundance of thruth to be sure.

You wrote this very well. Please consider reading the Word of God and asking the Lord Jesus into your life. I have prayed for you and trust that you will come to Jesus and enjoy learning about Him and what He has in store for His own. |
