The Weather Man

Contributed by kiss4roq on Friday, 4th May 2007 @ 01:52:25 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Earthquakes agitate my emotions,
I lash out at the ones I love,
Storms create immense commotions,
The stars no longer shine above.

Clouds blur my sanity,
The sun lost behind them too,
Unleash by the undying vanity,
My life was thrown a strew.

The sound of rain hinders my thoughts,
Tears flood my small cupped hands,
I discard everything I was taught,
Mind screams with ungodly commands.

Thunder booms in my dreams,
Lightning strikes deep within my heart,
Life just isn’t what it seems,
But reality and fantasy can’t be torn apart.

Hurricanes rip through my relationships,
The hail stings close friends,
My normal slowly becomes eclipsed,
They lash out, and it never ends.

These emotions, they linger inside.
Like the fierce weather of the atmosphere
Total loss of any and all pride,
In its victims, it instills great fear.

But I don’t blame myself; how could I predict…
I blame it on the weather man,
Much pain it does inflict,
Over such a short time span.
