lost in your madness

Contributed by priss on Thursday, 3rd May 2007 @ 01:28:55 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

the night has taken you again,
taken you away from me.
i beg the moon to keep her distance
but she shows me no mercy.

you get lost in your madness
because i'm always too late.
i mean to show you my love
but you never wait.

love is unkind when it is unsure;
with us, each hit is a near miss
and my heart grows weary
i promised myself i was stronger than this.

crazed and nonsensical i am
for risking my heart;
your sickness, your eyes
rip my reasoning apart.

and i lose control
when you whisper my name
the air of your gemini
sets this aries aflame.

for you, i fear i'd betray my own soul
and stay lost in your world, unaware,
forsaking all else, unable to avoid
being forever entrapped in your darkened stare.

but tonight i'm alone, cause the moon is full
and with her, you'd rather play;
and i'll wonder if you're safe out there
til the morning brings you back my way.

You can't fight the moon, priss- she's just too darn alluring. Good rhymes, heartfelt despair.

aw, priss ... sadness with a splash of enchanting wonder.

Damn that bewitching moon anyway! But oh! what a beautiful
inspiration she is. Your work here is proof, alone, of that.

You've captured a gripping sentiment here that I feel many
could understand and relate to. Doesn't make it less
torturous, though, does it ...

beautifully painful~

Oh, so relatable. Also...you've got a really great flow thing going on with really nice metaphors. That moon can really have an affect on people and other beings of the night.

Nicely done,

Tim
