I sit here by myself
holding a picture
of us in one hand
the other hand
I hold a bottle of whiksy...
As the tears come pouring down
I think what went wrong...
I had everything that
A girl could ask for
Now I'm lefted here
with just one thing
a empty bottle of
WHISKY!

Short, Sweet, and to the point. You convey the point of having everything you wanted in that to significant other, to now basically having nothing but a empty bottle of whisky. I can almost see the tears coming down your face as you are reminded of what you once had in one hand, and now what you have in the other. The Title of the poem may is not really a attractive. But those who only judge a book a by its cover or in this case title are missing out on a good thing. Very well done. |
