Look at us all
Dying to be beautiful
With our fingers down our throats
Hoping that one day
We'll bring up more than food
Our soul will dribble down the porcelain
With every ounce of bile
Only to be flushed away
And our eyes will hollow out
Like the models we idolize
Gazing off the glossy pages
Of our magazines - Our bibles
Of which the first commandment
Is to purge our sins
Because everyone knows
No one's ugly in heaven

pain is something i know, i look i see i close my eyes and turn away, no mirrors here.
Deep and full of pain, i havent gone down the road this poem talks about my road is simular yet different, but this isnt about me, your words are raw and powerful at the same time.
I hope you find happyness sooner rather than later, id say more but id only make a mess of things which im prone to doing.
Excellent and emotional poem. |
