“Who are you…?”
Too scared to look truth in the eyes
Afraid you won’t be able to handle the depth
Leering back
“What have you become…?”
My reflection glares at me in deception
“I can be anything I want.”
My words deceive me
What I want is stability
With that sense of wavering pillars
About to crumble to the ground
I want to look into my eyes
And see someone looking back
I’ve dilluded myself with lies
Emptying out my soul
To overcome the truth
I want it back
“Where did you come from…?”
The tragedies of life
Of the past and of the mind
Mental breakdowns and death
Of my loved ones
Of the weak
Of my heart
Of my soul
“What happened…?”
Life

I am glad I found this one, cannot believe I missed it.
Incredible write!
I think we lose a little and take a little along each path with us....... This fits that scene well.
