The Last French Fry

Contributed by WillBerry on Wednesday, 26th February 2003 @ 09:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

It was a quiet dinner for two,
Just Joe Ron Blake,
And his date,
Mary Ellen McGrew,
I shall skip a review,
Of The Royal Gorge's,
Rather short wine menu,
What it all boiled down to,
Between Joe Ron Blake,
And Mary Ellen McGrew,
Was that neither one,
Could take their eye,
Off of that last french fry,
Finally, with a shake and a twist,
Joe Ron, the hungry crud, got that lonely little spud,
And was promptly taken off Mary Ellen's eligible list.

Dear Jenni -
It's the little abstruse things in life that can make the difference, be it a french fry or who gets to use the cell phone. That's what they tell me.
Will
