The Moonlit Garden

Contributed by thereturnofx7 on Friday, 27th April 2007 @ 02:03:51 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Seeing you bathed within the pale moonlight like some Greek goddess
Claiming the fragile beauty within the lunar waves with a flavor all your own
That leaves me assured even Aphrodite's gaze is through jade tinted pupils
Serenity itself, surely is becoming intertwined within the syllables of your name

I. however, remain hidden off in the forlorn shadows of the trees
The lusty gaze in my murky brown eyes, glazed over with a hint of fantastical illusion
Quietly wishing I could see your lips formed in a tight, yet innocent smile
Gazing down upon me, while I indulge myself in sweet ambrosial liquids
Of a distinct, yet indescribable sweetness, such a heavenly flavor....

I return to reality long enough to realize the cold and harshness of truth
Such amazing beauty shall never waste her time with a savage beast
Regardless, I'm still hidden amongst the trees watching you within your garden
As your eyes slowly drape lower, waiting to enter the realm of dreams

Perhaps its in bold futility I wait for you to beckon me towards you still
To rest along side of you within this blissful place, if only to watch a single sunrise
But for now, a simple smile crosses my lips as i watch over this moonlit garden
With my fingers crossed that one day you'll dream of someone like me.
