Three dimensional
forcespressedstuck
into
One dimension
Attempts to understand
does not equate to comprehension
a picture says a million things
an ugly picture don't
Just a face
a face it stays
but it brings forth
so MUCH
insecurities
distaste and dissatisfaction
the unhappiness
the DELUSION
that perhaps
the face in the picture
is ugly
because it's not me

Very interesting ideas in this, certainly ones I've experienced. I hate looking at photos of myself because I don't think they ever show me as how I feel I am, and a static image does exactly what you said, it compresses everything about that moment into a little rectangular image. Any emotions and thoughts are completely abstracted from the person in the photo.
I enjoyed reading this, it gave me lots to consider,
Take care,
Dom |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what one thinks is ugly another may find beauty... Dont despair as Beauty is from within.... and in time that Beauty shines and reflects in all you do.... |
