O fading light, leave me alone!
The muted hues with which you illuminate
Cast blanched impressions deep within
Nothing serves to inspire
Naught but dull gloom pales my vision
And I take to the glass once again.
O tearful reflection, do not stare back!
Those crimson tears that exude and descend
From broken skin — a reflection of a broken being
The battle rages on within
The scars remain, repeating ever so steadily
Across pale skin, now traversed with scarlet stripes.
O darkness, stay, forevermore!
Lift not for light, my weakness
Engulf me in your shadows
Protect me from the glare of civilised stares
Bleeding, as I lie on the spot
Hear this plea of mine — as my sorrows fall drop by drop.
O life once vibrant, gushing out ...
Flow into a mighty river
Drain me of my crimson tears
Cure my lips of this bitter bile
Dull my senses, numb my mind
As I lie blank, motionless and still.

Deep. Powerful and written beautifully. I liked this poem.I especially like the last two lines in the very last stanza. Great poem.
