Jostling are the keychains
dangling from a belt loop on the jeans;
smacking every time a step is made
on the sidewalk-comes a gravel sound-
in this luscious scene of bushes: green.
Looping are the time-walls;
making every single interval
another gemstone; glowing colors bright
down the middle of a scene at nightfall,
at nightfall.
Walking with a powerful thought, abrasive off
the stride. Making togetherness easy to say;
locked away like a bird in a vise, in a vise.
It's so easy this way.
To and fro; watch me go.
Never with a break of my own,
Set in April binds;
knowing all is not well; is not well.
Drowning is my conscious
setting all troubles on a road;
waiting for the vehicles to run them down
flat so they don't bother me anymore
and I can be safe at last.
Blessings are quivers,
made to hold arrows for the poor.
Am I to be the Robin Hood to shoot them all,
or the petty knight to keep them
safe from wealthy death?
Hold me for a thousand years;
sacred night above the horizon.
May the stars, all faithful depart
leave me finality among the dawn.
To and fro; watch me go.
Never in a free-fire zone
will I know how to be free
from a silver button on screens of gold.
Morning appears in glistening taffy tide;
growing hard as the hours fly by.
Being a walker that never sleeps,
caring becomes easy to let sleep; let sleep.

Your writing is so emotive, abstract and engaging I fear I may never write again. Beautiful words and fluency of flight. Aliopterix |
