The Castle stood in Dragon fables
centuries of stories to tell.
Lost love, forbidden nights
so many walk the halls.
Towering walls, mist in layers
from and endless bottom
like stepping stones.
Gather all you would be lovers
broken hearted too, here`s a tale
all should wonder, the Crow that visits
by the light of the moon.
The story unravels of a beauty within
dressed in velvets, raven hair.
So many hearts had tried to reach her,
fell before midnight`s end.
One bold fellow, fierce and strong
pledged his love , made the approach.
As the hands met, and love born
He fell from the Castle wall.
Her fate surely sealed, from the
castle`s edge, her tears fell to an eternity below.
What would she have given, a tortured soul?
what would she gain within the halls.
By the light of the moon
her fevered request
the Crow appeared at her side.
He looked in her eyes
to see true love,
felt from her heart light and warmth.
Bring my lover at any price
life from yesterday rides with you.
Your spirit that boils and changes at will,
shed tears with the loneliest heart.
The Castle grays at the darkest hour
velvet lay on the castle wall,
the Crow winged through the misted layers
carrying two souls at his side...Vincent

This is great, Crow!
I like how it is grouped yet doesn't rhyme.
It somehow gives meaning to this piece.
Keep writing, friend! |

Unfolded like the stories that are past from generation to generation. It reminds me of an Irish legend that someone just never had time to tell me and finally thank goodness they remembered. Loved It. |

Dear Crow, I just happened to see one of your comments. I was thrilled, "Crow is Back" I'll always remember your beautiful words, before you made them rhyme. Now they are more beautiful beyond our time!
How is you family, and your sweet dog Molly.?
With Warm thoughts and Memories.
Warm love
Lovingcritters
