Angels' Tears

It is raining
A soft, warm sprinkle
I do not look for cover
They are angels' tears
A nectar from heaven
I watch as small puddles form
Miniature streams begin to flow
Two join forces becoming one
Streams of my mother's tears
Combining their strength, their love
To give me guidance and hope
The sun peeks from behind the clouds
Rays of promise for a new day
The rain subsides
The streams continue on
Gathering force to become a river
One day to merge with my raging torrent
In hopes to one day become
A peaceful and tranquil lake
